Ayur RathnaPanchakarma Detoxification Treatment

Ayurrathna’s Panchakarma Detoxification Therapy has been proved to be one of the best solutions for removing toxins from the body. We have a decade of experience in the  ayurveda and panchakarma treatments

According to ayurvedic texts our body is crisscrossed by srotas or channels or tube like structures. This network contains both microscopic and macroscopic channels ( Digestive system, nervous system, circulatory system etc.). Innumerable physiological process like breathing, blood circulations, secretions of enzymes, hormones etc. flow of signals, supply of nutrients, filtration of toxins, excretion of waste etc. are aided by these tubular structures.

Diseases occur when toxins get accumulated in body and clog these channels. Unhealthy diet, lifestyle, stress, changes in environment etc. lead to accumulation of toxins in body. These accumulated toxins have to be expelled out in order to keep our body healthy.  Through Panchakarma Detoxification Treatmen these toxic clogs are removed to normalize the physiological process. Hence panchakarma therapy is called as detoxification therapy. Panchakarma Detoxififcation Treatment can be administrated to a normal person to prevent diseases and keep his body healthy. The ideal season to expel toxins through this therapy is rainy season.

Panchakarma is a set of five therapeutic treatments undertaken for the complete detoxification of the body.  According to Ayurveda, it is essential before starting any other major therapies. It is beneficial to throw out all the impurities and chemical toxins from the body. For some people panchakarma alone can cure many chronic diseases and doesn’t require any more treatments.

  • The detoxification process contains three steps:
    1. Purva karma – Preparations before detoxification
    2. Pradhana karma – Main Detoxifying process
    3. Pashchat karma – Rehabilitating the diet and lifestyle after detoxification process
  • Purva Karma - Pre Purification Procedure
  • Before the actual purification begins, there is a need to prepare the body in prescribed methods to encourage the body to release toxins. We use two procedures for this:

  • Snehana :

Massage with special herbal oils. Oils are applied to the entire body with a particular type of massage to move the toxins towards the gastro-intestinal tract. Oil massage also makes the superficial and deep tissues soft and supple, thus helping to remove stress and to nourish the nervous system. Snehana is given daily for three to seven days, as indicated.

  • Swedana :

Sudation or Sweating is given every day immediately following the snehana. An herbal concoction may be added to the steam to further loosen the toxins from the individual. Swedana liquefies the toxins and increases the movement of toxins into the gastro intestinal tract.

  • Pradhana Karma - Main Purification Process
  • Vamana (Vomiting Therapy):

When there is congestion in the lungs causing repeated attacks of bronchitis, colds, cough or asthma, the Ayurvedic treatment is therapeutic vomiting - Vamana, to eliminate the kapha which is causing the excess mucus.

  • Virechana (Purgation Therapy):

When excess bile, Pitta, is secreted and accumulated in the gall bladder, liver and small intestine, it tends to result in rashes, skin inflammation, acne, chronic attacks of fever, vomiting, nausea and jaundice. Ayurvedic literature suggests in these conditions the administration of therapeutic purgation or a therapeutic laxative.

  • Nasya( Nasal Administration ) :

It is a body massage using small linen boluses filled with special kind of cooked rice. The therapy is used for curing rheumatism, neuromuscular diseases, and recovery from broken bones as well as rejuvenation of the body.

  • Basti ( Enema Therapy) :

Vata's predominant site is the colon. Ayurvedic Basti involves the introduction into the rectum of herbal concoctions of sesame oil and certain herbal preparations in a liquid medium. It relieves constipation, digestion, chronic fever, cold, sexual disorders, kidney stones, heart pain, backache, sciatica and other pains in the joints. Many other Vata disorders such as arthritis, rheumatism, gout, muscle spasms and headaches may also be treated with Basti. The enemas are done with both medicated oils and decoctions.

  • Pashchat Karma - Post Purification Process :
  • A strict diet and lifestyle procedure has to be followed throughout panchakarma treatment. The rehabilitative procedures to bring back the diet and lifestyle to normal are considered as "Pashchat Karma". In this stage the digestion power is brought back to normalcy. Medicines are administrated to rejuvenate the body or to treat the disease.

Apart from these treatments, strict regimen and life style changes are advocated.  At Ayur Rathna we are providing effective treatment methodology for Panchakarma Detoxification Treatment based on the ayurveda lines of management coupled with years of experience and dedication.

If patient can come for the treatment in early stages of the disease, even complete cure is also possible provided patient follows all the guideline including diet restrictions strictly.
